The combined methodology “Movement – Coordination – Learning” integrates physical exercises, coordination tasks, and competency-based learning activities, fostering the connection between motor activity and academic skills in children aged 5–10 years. It encompasses three main directions:
- “Smart Ball” incorporates multiple developmental aspects, including motor, cognitive, and communicative skills, using the ball as a versatile tool for activities that foster various areas of a child’s growth.
- The combination of physical exercises with competency-based tasks aims to develop the 11 key competencies established in the New Ukrainian School education reform, along with cross-cutting skills such as creativity, innovation, and vocabulary building through motor activities.
- The use of specialized physical exercises to stimulate various parts of the central nervous system involves tasks that require precise ball throws at different targets while altering their trajectories.
The methodology is designed to develop motor skills, mental processes, and abilities in preschool and early school-aged children. It focuses on enhancing agility, speed, flexibility, spatial orientation, and coordination through various motor activities. A key component of this approach is the use of equipment, along with light and sound signals, which provide a comprehensive impact on the child’s sensory systems to increase engagement and improve the effectiveness of the sessions. Additionally, the methodology prioritizes high levels of emotional involvement during activities to foster a lasting interest in participating in physical exercises among children.
