Mini-Eduball/Mini-Brainball

The mini-Eduball method is a unique form of cognitive-motor training based on games where the participant simultaneously performs cognitive activities and hand movements. Therefore, they combine various cognitive tasks, especially math and language problem-solving, with ball manipulation. Cognitive tasks include performing mathematical operations, processing the alphabet in memory, dividing letters into consonants and vowels, keeping certain information in memory, following specific rules, and analyzing information placed on balls. In turn, motor tasks include – among others – rolling the ball with the indicated fingers, searching for balls with hands, catching, and throwing bounce passes.

However, it is not a closed set of activities and tasks, and motor principles can be freely combined with cognitive ones. A crucial aspect of mini-Eduball games is the detailed rules regarding using the dominant and non-dominant hand during individual movements, thanks to which the appropriate areas in the brain are activated or stimulated.

The method can be applied in various environments and by a diverse range of individuals. However, it is specifically designed for young children in the early stages of education who attend school. Due to their size and material, the balls are intended for use in the classroom, whether during lessons or breaks between classes.
